How does PayPal work?

You can use your credit card directly to make payments. PayPal is then simply the credit card processor. This is a relatively new and important feature as of 2004.

Alternatively you can complete the easy sign up for your PayPal account. Then you can send money to anyone with an email address and PayPal will deduct the money from your PayPal balance, or charge your credit card or bank account. Recipients are notified by email that they have received a payment.
